Bifocal Lenses have two distinct parts; the upper part normally used for distance vision and the lower part used for near-vision tasks such as reading. CR-39 or "Plastic" Bifocal lenses are the best choice if you want the most economical lenses possible. They offer excellent optical clarity. Due to thickness, they are not recommended for higher power prescriptions.
Bifocal CR-39 lenses are available with the following options:
Transitions - (change color to a darkened lens when exposed to UV light),
Anti-Reflective Coating - (reduces glare, improving visual clarity)
Polarized - (a colored sunglass filtered lens that reduces glare from flat surfaces such as wet roads)
